Eyelash Extensions

Eyelash Extensions

A single synthetic hair is glued onto each natural lash, so in the morning all that's left is a glance in the mirror, with no need to reach for mascara. This solution works well for women with sparse or light-coloured lashes, and at PIED-DE-POULE we use the 1-to-1 eyelash extension method, matched to your eye shape and the density of your own lashes. You can book an appointment at our Warsaw and Wrocław salons every day.

What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions involve gluing a synthetic fibre onto a single natural lash, one lash at a time. Unlike strip lashes made of clumps that last a single evening, here the glue bonds each artificial hair individually, and the effect lasts for weeks rather than washing off with your makeup. Before attaching the first hair, the technician assesses the growth direction and condition of your own lashes, as well as your eye shape, to choose the curl, length, and thickness that suits your face.

Types of Eyelash Extensions and Available Effects

The curl shape of the fibre determines how noticeable the effect is.

  • J and B curls give the most natural look
  • C and CC gently open up the eyes
  • D, L, and U are already a defined curl, noticeable even without makeup

On top of this comes the lash placement across the eyelid, which creates a specific style:

  • Classic — follows the natural growth line, just with added length and density
  • Fox eye — the longest hairs sit at the outer corner, visually elongating the eye
  • Squirrel — the longest hairs sit closer to the centre of the lid, lifting the look
  • Doll eye — maximum length at the centre of the eye, making the look rounder and more open

Eyelash extension effects also differ in the thickness and colour of the fibre — usually black or brown, and for a bolder accent you can choose coloured tips.

Eyelash Extension Methods

Eyelash extension methods differ in how many fibres are attached to a single natural lash, not in the gluing technique:

  • Classic 1-to-1 — one synthetic hair per natural lash, the most natural result
  • 2D-3D — two or three thinner hairs per lash, more density without weight
  • Mega volume (Hollywood) — several very fine fibres per lash, a strikingly bold row

Session duration:

  • Classic 1-to-1 — around an hour and a half
  • Mega volume — closer to three hours, since the technician attaches more fibres to each lash

Touch-ups:

  • Lashes shed along with the natural renewal cycle
  • It’s worth coming back for a touch-up after three to four weeks, before fewer than half the fibres remain

If you’d like a break from having extensions applied, lash tinting gives a dark colour and a gentle curl to your own lashes.

Who This Solution Is For

It works well for women with light, short, or sparse lashes who want a defined look without daily mascara.

It also works well for a drooping eyelid or deep-set eyes — longer hairs placed in the right spot visually lift the outer corner.

An active lifestyle, swimming pools, travel, or wedding preparations are all situations where daily eye makeup simply doesn’t hold up.

Anyone looking for even fewer morning steps also considers permanent eyebrow makeup — another way to wake up already ready.

What Eyelash Extensions at PIED-DE-POULE Look Like

01
Consultation

The technician assesses the density and condition of your own lashes and your eye shape, to choose the curl, length, and method — classic, 2D, 3D, or mega volume. This is also when the number of weeks until your next touch-up is agreed.

02
Preparation

We remove your eye makeup, degrease the lashes with a special product, and protect the lower lid with a hydrogel patch.

03
Attaching the Fibres

Using tweezers, we isolate a single natural lash and attach a synthetic hair to it — row by row, until the whole lash line is complete.

04
Final Check and Aftercare

We check that no hairs have stuck together, brush through the row, and remove the patches. You'll get guidance on-site on how to care for your lashes after the extensions — avoiding water and oil-based cosmetics for a few hours.

Treatment Results

  • DENSITY FROM DAY ONE

Glue attaches a synthetic hair to each lash, so the row looks fuller right after the treatment.

  • AN OPEN LOOK

The chosen curl lifts the lash line, which makes the eye look bigger.

  • A LASTING SHAPE WITHOUT MASCARA

The glue holds the curl all day, so lashes don't droop or smudge the way mascara can.

  • A SHORTER MORNING ROUTINE

A ready-made effect on your lids cuts down the time spent in front of the mirror each morning.

FAQ

  • How do I care for my extensions in the first few days after the treatment?

For a few hours, avoid water, steam, and oil-based cosmetics, since they weaken the glue. After that, gentle brushing morning and evening is enough, without rubbing your eyes.

  • How do I wash my lash extensions so they don't come off sooner?

Use an oil-free lash foam or cleanser and wash them with a soft brush, moving from the base downward. Drying by gently patting with a towel, rather than rubbing dry, also extends how long they last.

  • How long does it take for lashes to grow out after extensions, and when should I come back for a touch-up?

Lashes shed along with the natural renewal cycle, which takes 6-8 weeks, so it’s worth coming in for a touch-up after 3-4 weeks. A longer gap usually means a full removal and a fresh set instead of a touch-up.

  • What are the contraindications for eyelash extensions?

We don’t perform the treatment in cases of glue allergy, eye inflammation such as conjunctivitis or a stye, dry eye syndrome, or an active cold with watery eyes. Weakened or damaged natural lashes are also a reason to wait.

  • Can lash extensions be worn with mascara or eyeshadow?

Eyeshadow, yes, but we don’t recommend mascara on the synthetic fibres — it shortens how long they last and makes oil-free makeup removal harder. If you want extra colour, it’s better to choose coloured fibres at the treatment stage itself.

  • What effect is trending right now — wet-look lash extensions or the classic look?

The 2026 season is all about lightness: thinner fibres, natural browns, and wet-look lash extensions, meaning lashes gently clumped into small fans instead of heavy, dense rows. Classic 1-to-1 still holds strong as the base for this trend.

  • How long does the appointment take, and how much does it cost?

A session takes around an hour and a half to three hours, depending on the volume chosen. You can check the current price list when booking your appointment at your chosen salon.

  • How long do eyelash extensions last?

The synthetic fibres last an average of 4-6 weeks, since they shed along with the natural lash renewal cycle. Individual hairs can come off sooner if you touch your eyes or use oil-based cosmetics.

  • What are the downsides of eyelash extensions?

Lashes need a regular touch-up every 3-4 weeks, or the row starts to look uneven. You also have to give up mascara on the fibres and oil-based makeup remover, which some people find inconvenient.

  • Are lash extensions safe during pregnancy?

The treatment itself isn’t contraindicated during pregnancy, but skin can be more sensitive to the glue at that time, so an allergic reaction is more likely than usual. It’s worth doing a patch test first or consulting your doctor about your pregnancy.

  • Is it worth getting 1-to-1 lashes?

Yes, if a natural effect matters to you and you want to save time on your morning makeup without heavily defining the eye. For sparse natural lashes, 2D or 3D works better — they give more density in a similar session time.

  • What does the wet lash effect involve?

Hairs are deliberately grouped into small, thin fans instead of separated individual fibres, so the row looks as though it’s freshly washed and lightly clumped together with water. It’s a textural effect, not a colour one — it’s about how the fibres are arranged, not their shade.

  • What's the difference between the kim effect and wet lashes?

The kim (spike) effect combines shorter hairs in the row with individual, noticeably longer accents sticking out above the rest. The wet effect has no protruding accents — all the hairs are a similar length, arranged into small, damp-looking fans.

  • Can lash extensions be worn with mascara?

We don’t recommend mascara on the synthetic fibres, since it’s difficult to remove afterwards without oil-based cosmetics that weaken the glue. Eyeshadow or eyeliner on the lid are safe and don’t affect how long the treatment lasts.
